For clients who need help with eating disorders, we work to identify the root causes of food and body obsessions and address them directly.
People with eating disorders tend to think about food and body image constantly. They may have negative thoughts about their body every day. They frequently wonder whether what they have eaten is too much. In stressful situations, the self-bashing, the negative self-talk increases. Being with people who are very judgmental about their own or other people’s body size and food intake can increase obsessive thoughts.
Therapy can be helpful in changing your existing habits and the feelings that drive them. My goal is to help you transcend the problem, giving you a more joyful and more emotionally connected life.
